Chevron´s representatives attended the 3rd edition of the Brazilian Petroleum Conference, hosted by the Brazilian Association of Petroleum Geologists (ABGP, acronym in Portuguese) from September 13-15, in Rio de Janeiro. This is the main technical event in the sector whose objective is to disseminate and promote the exchange of ideas and technical-scientific work on key issues for the oil and gas industry development.
In addition to being one of the sponsors, the company was represented by Patricia Pradal, Chevron Brasil Business Development & Corporate Affairs Manager, as a spokesperson in one of the Leadership Meeting’s sessions – an event held in parallel to the conference with students and young professional members of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
The meeting also had the participation of representatives from Petrobras and other companies in the sector. The session addressed the importance of the career development plan to young students and professionals who work in the industry.
Patricia spoke about her professional journey and the skills that contributed to building her career and advocated actions to break cultural barrier that prevents women to advance in leadership opportunities in the industry.
The Leadership Meeting aimed to give tips to develop and /or improve soft skills of the new professional generation in the energy industry.
