Chevron Brasil will participate in Rio Oil & Gas 2020/2021, a traditional bi-annual oil and gas sector event in Latin America. In addition to be a Platinum sponsor, the company will be present as an exhibitor at the event that this year will take place on a completely digital and exclusive platform from December 1st to 3rd due to the challenges imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. The company will also be present through speakers in the virtual conference. 

“Rio Oil & Gas is the opportunity we have to expand our dialogue with our partners and stakeholders as well as presenting our expertise in exploration and production in deep waters and our commitment to Brazil”, says Mariano Vela, Chevron Brasil Country Manager.

During the virtual conference, Chevron executives will participate as speakers in three panels. In one of them, Chevron Brasil Country Manager, will speak about the company’s experience in using advanced technologies for exploration in pre-salt frontier areas. The panel will also address how the organizations are diversifying their investment in high exploratory risk areas.

Drilling Engineer Ludmila Sampaio will participate in the panel about the oil and gas industry in the view of young talent. The Chevron Gulf of Mexico Asset Development General Manager, Michelle Pflueger, will address the female leadership role and the definition and implementation of strategies for a culture of inclusion and diversity within organizations in the energy sector.

In its 20th edition, the event is promoted by the Brazilian Petroleum Institute (IBP) that provides a face-to-face event for the end of 2021.
