Patricia Pradal will take over as Chevron Country Manager for South America exploration projects in Brazil, Suriname, Uruguay and Peru, effective July 1, after serving as Director of Business Development and Corporate Affairs. She replaces Evelyn Vilchez, who, after two years leading the company in the region, is taking on a new position at Chevron headquarters in the United States.
With 25 years of experience in the sector, Patricia joined Chevron in 2005 and has since held several positions of increasing responsibility in business development, commercial, strategic planning and corporate relations. Patricia also participates in Chevron projects in other areas, including New Energy.
Patricia holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Candido Mendes University, an MBA in Oil Business from MBP-COPPE/UFRJ, and other degrees in executive leadership and corporate finance.
She is also a member of the Oil and Gas Sector Committee of the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas (IBP/ABEP) and was one of the founders of the institution's Diversity Committee. She currently serves on the board of the Brazil-US Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), chairing its Energy Committee; is a director and member of the board of LIDE-Rio de Janeiro; and a member of the board of the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce (BRATECC).
