Chevron Brasil Business Development and Corporate Affairs Manager, Patricia Pradal conducted on September 28 a discussion on the importance of the O&G industry for the energy transition.

Her participation took place during an event jointly hosted by AMCHAMRIO and Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Rio de Janeiro. Chevron was a sponsor of the Energy Forum, which brought together the 11th Seminar on Brazilian Energy Matrix and Security 2023 from FGV and the 16th Brazil Energy Power from AMCHAMRIO.

“In Brazil, industry meets around 15% of the Brazilian GNP and that’s why has a large importance in the country’s development”, Patricia spoke at the beginning of the panel, which was attended by executives from the O&G industry.

During the discussion, panelists talked about the challenges and opportunities of the oil and gas industry and how this is preparing to contribute to developing a low-carbon economy.
